Maneuvering through the regulatory processes protecting wetlands can be a complex and time-consuming endeavor. EDP has the know-how to provide the specialized services necessary to assist a client with all necessary regulatory permits. We will provide pre-construction Notifications for General Nationwide Permits, Individual Section 404 Clean Water Act permit applications, and NYSDEC Article 24 Freshwater Wetland permit applications. Wetland Delineation and Assessment

  • Preliminary site assessments for early detection of wetlands and other site constraints;
  • Isolated wetland investigations;
  • Wetland delineation the following Corps of Engineers “Wetland Delineation Manual”;
  • Wetland delineation reporting;
  • Coordination with State and Federal regulatory personnel;
  • Wetland and Aquatic Resource mapping, and
  • Functional Wetland assessments.

 

Wetland Mitigation Design and Construction Oversight

  • Wetland creation, enhancement, and restoration design;
  • Mitigation for site selection and its feasibility study;
  • Hydrologic analysis including water budget development;

Performance Monitoring of Wetland Mitigation for future Regulatory Compliance

  • Vegetation and hydrologic monitoring;
  • Vegetation cover type maps and As-Built drawings;
  • Hydrologic analysis and water budget development;
  • Maintenance and adaptive management plans; and
  • All necessary annual reporting.
