The Environmental Design Partnership, LLP (EDP), is a 35-member, multi-disciplinary consulting firm established in 1977. Our main office is located in Clifton Park, New York, with a branch office in Glens Falls, New York. EDP specializes in consulting related to the practices of civil engineering, landscape architecture, and land surveying. Our staff includes professional engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors.
We are seeking a qualified candidate to apprentice, grow, and develop as a surveying and engineering draftsperson. Daily duties will include but are not limited to working with the surveying department to create functional base mapping from survey field data and sketches for engineering and land planning, coordinating with the department leaders to create accurate and aesthetically pleasing final mapping, and assisting with any other general drafting tasks. The draftsperson will use the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D while adhering to the firm’s style guidelines.
The successful candidate must be organized and able to work well within a team. Individuals must possess a strong work ethic, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple projects and complete them in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate also must be willing to learn new skills and techniques that may be required as the job progresses. Proficient in: AutoCAD, Google Earth, and Microsoft Office | Ability to create 3D terrain surface models is a plus.
